Our Ridgeback is a big part of our family as is with many families who have pets. I have made a commitment to create a Rhodesian Ridgeback calander. There are so many people that can relate to these particular dogs, I felt it would be a unique goal to accomplish, to create 12 paintings of my favorite breed. Dogs in general make great subject matter for painters. They are always a challenge to paint as they have such individual personalities. One of my goals is to try to communicate through paint, an honest representation of each unique personality. I spend months on each painting until I begin to see the painting come to life.
